Day 3 (22 Jan 2015)

What we have done
We did the experiments for Control, Purity, Light and Surface Area
We decided not to test for Temperature of Surroundings
We decided to test for Wind instead
We decided to change Temperature of Water to Temperature of Hotplate
We edited our final proposal to fit our experiment.

What we plan to do the next session
Do the experiment for Temperature of Hotplate
Do the experiment for Wind
Calculate the rate of which the factors mentioned above affect the rate of evaporation.

What is left to accomplish
Submit our final proposal and wait for approval

Elaboration
We decided not to test for temperature of surroundings as we would need to heat up the whole beaker. However, with a hotplate, that would not be possible as the bottom of the beaker, which is closer to the hotplate than the rest of the beaker, would be the hottest. To test this factor, we would need to use a water bath. However, we had already decided against using the water bath as the temperature of the water bath decreases once it reaches the maximum temperature that it can reach. The temperature of the water bath also decreases when there is not enough water in the water bath, but when we add more water, the temperature decreases even further, thus if the water bath was used, the temperature would not have been constant.
